Thank You Trustees!
aka Building Services

Thank you, our Board of Trustees and all those who have previously served faithfully as a leader in the life of Memorial UMC. In our new church model there will not be a "trustee committee, nor a finance committee or an SPRC committee " as before. The UMC is moving toward a One Board model in many churches and so will we. Take a big breath for you have served well. Let us now transition to a new chapter and to our new leadership team.

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."  (Isaiah 43:19)

Effective trustees [of the United Methodist Church] functioned as Christian stewards of property God has entrusted to the congregation. This included supervising and maintaining both the physical property of the congregation and gifts made to the congregation so that the ministries of the congregation can be effective and all legal requirements related to the property are satisfied.

Spotlight: Chuck Garner

Lifelong Trustee

We want to take space here to pay particular attention to Chuck Garner for his lifetime of service and membership with Memorial. Chuck has run around these halls and this campus since he was a little boy and knows it better than anyone else. He puts in hours of time and effort taking care of our property and teaching others how to as well. We are so grateful to Chuck and his family. Thank you.
